Mental Health
Awareness Training

The training is designed to enhance understanding of mental health and mental health problems that may arise in the workplace. The programme gives managers and staff with the skills to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems and how to appropriately engage in a conversation with the person they are concerned about. It also provides an opportunity to identify the resources and supports that can assist someone who is struggling with their mental health.

Instructors' level of knowledge and ability to keep the group engaged were top notch. The video cases were very useful...

Excellent, both facilitators were passionate about the course. There is a huge need for training like this...

I thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it very valid to my work. Feel much more comfortable having conversations with youth surrounding their mental health.

I recommend it to be compulsory CPD for all secondary school teachers and those working with 12-18 year olds including youth workers, coaches etc.

Everyone should do it. It was brilliant and really engaging.

Brilliant material and structure. I had the opportunity to participate in a better understanding of the subject and available resources. The openness of the way the subject is structured was very helpful.

It was very insightful on a widely known but lesser-known issue. It increased understanding of each topic. The course included the different perspectives on people's opinions of mental health.

Interactive learning always has a deeper impact for me... I'm particularly grateful for such a wealth of information in an Irish context.

It was really good to learn more about mental health as I work with people all the time. After the course, I'm feeling more confident if I have to face a situation where someone needs assistance.

I think it is wonderful. It is a hard two days but is worthwhile. I do have to say the way the program been adapted for zoom is unreal!
